Last week, my computer went wacky on me. Hence, no blogging!
I have access to a computer now as I am 1000's of miles from home. Yes, I am presently on a journey.
I am 'back home'. Seems odd to me and I am still pinching myself. I am in Albuqurque, New Mexico for the next eight days.
The flight yesterday went without a hitch. I must admit that I was very nervous about flying and I'm not sure why. I have never been afraid of flying and have always enjoyed it, I guess the recent changes had me a bit shaken.
Anyway.....I got to see those amazing lights of Albuqurque as we flew in last night. That was always my favorite thing as a child when we would come visit. We would crest that last hill and there she would be....a valley of lights spread for miles and miles up against the Sandia Mountains!
And of course the Albuqurque airport....brick floors, carved spanish wood , leather and adobe.
I have not been here in 18 years. Not since my grandfather died.
This will not only be a journey of seeing all that is so familair to me, but a journey of the heart as I am hoping to heal and reconnect with some lost parts of myself.
So, for the next few post, this will be my travel blog. I plan on taking a zillion pictures! Not sure yet if I will be able to post any here until I get home, we'll see.
Well, my cousin is making me coffee and we have a full day planned!
I will be visiting and catching up with my blog peeps throughout the day....till then....hasta la vista!
